SLOW initialisation on SunOS

Hello,
I've finally got around to installing the tnm/tkined. This one is on a
Sparc station running SunOS 4.1.4. I got around the PIC problem by
installing resolv+, and did the TCLLIBPATH thing. Everythings works, sort
of. The only problem I have is that whenever I start a scotty script
(including tkined tools) there is a long pause between the script
invokation and when it actually starts to run. Simple scripts, even no
script (invoking an interactive scotty), will not run until about a minute
has passed, then it runs OK.
Has anyone else seen these initialization delays? If so, how do I fix it?
This is also the first time I've tried the new tcl/tk, so I'm not too
familiar with the new arrangement.
