Gatherer on a NewsServer

HI, there,

I have a NewsServer with about 1.5Mb news on it.
And I want to index it with a Harvest.
But RunGatherer dumps always core after some houres of work.
What can it be?

I run SPARCStation 2, SunOS 4.1, Harvest-1.4
