Making modules in tkined

Hi!

I am looking to add tools to tkined, and am wondering if there is a
"programmers manual" of sorts. I understand what I am looking at and
trying to get my bearings on the code, but it is pretty slow going.
Right now it's the "which way is up -- where is the top of the food
chain" syndrome. I also know that I am bound to miss something after
thinking I have it figured out, implement the wrong way, and have to
write it again.

If this is just a rite of passage in working with tkined, I wouldn't be
upset, just trying to work smarter.

Thanks!

Brian

btw - I have been using tkined for about three months now tracking the
condition of my net (it's great!), and have it hooked to HylaFax to page
me when something goes wrong. If anyone is interested in the Perl
script I wrote that monitors syslog, I would be happy to pass it along.
