Scotty on linux

Hello !

I have loaded up everything on my Linux machine but I am
at a loss when trying to use scotty from tkined.
Tkined works great until I access the scotty "tools". Specifically almost
none of the scotty "tools" appear to do anything(ie no error messages
or anything) and I receive the folowing errors when running
"make installcheck" from the scotty-2.0.2 src directory :

clock.test
Warning: you're executing as root. I'll have to
skip some of the tests, since they'll fail as root.
dns.test
event.test
http.test
icmp.test
job.test
mib.test
snmp.test
Warning: SNMP agent created based on an unsafe Tcl interpreter!
straps: unable to bind multicast trap socket: Address already in use
sunrpc.test
using rtcab1 for sunrpc tests
tcp.test
udp.test

Previoulsly I had received the following error message from straps
before I compiled the kernel to enable Multicast :
straps : unable to join multicast group : Protocol not available

Am I missing something fundamental in the setup ?

Here is my setup :

- Compaq Prolinea Pentium 100Mz with 32 Mb ram and two 3c509b.
- Slackware 2.3 with kernel 1.2.13
- cmu-snmp2.1.2l3
- tkined-1.3.4
- scotty-2.0.2
- tcl7.4
- tk4.0
- tclX7.4a-p1
- fwtk 1.3
- ifconfig output :

The setup I am testing for is an Internal firewall between a currently
(safety) isolated network and our internal WAN. The hosts on the
secure network have snmp daemons running. I was hoping to monitor snmp
on the firewalls using tkined/scotty as well as proxying snmp to our
central HP snmp management station.

Any help would be appreciated ....
