I must have missed the set value menu option. Thanks for pointing it
out.

The former, though the latter might be useful as well. The browsers
I'm most familiar with had a field which specified the complete
instance. The desired instance could be explicitly set by editing the
field or it would be set automatically by the browser whenever the
"get first" and "get next" operations were performed.

This was convenient for performing operations on objects in the same
row of a table. You just set the desired instance then perform the
"get" and "set" operations on the various columns. You don't have to
keep retyping or reselecting the instance.
