Description:
Tkined is a network drawing/editing tool. Its companion scotty
(the answer is yes for you trekkies) provides facilities for
ip and snmp (v1 and v2) monitoring as well as the ability to
write monitoring and querying scripts for various network
entities. Both tools are based on John Ousterhout Tk/Tcl
programming language.
John will present an overview of using both tools and point
out the strengths and weaknesses of these tools. Brian
Bartholomew will present a couple of tools that he has
designed that work with tkined and scotty as well as discuss
some of the problems with using tkined as a network statistics
monitoring tool.
