The "IP Discover" script does not use SNMP. It only sends some
ICMP/UDP probing packets. That's why you can discover networks all
over the world without any knowledge of SNMP community strings etc.

The output of the discover script is just a set of nodes and networks
with some links between them. The "IP Layout" script can be used to
guess icons etc. Again, we do not use SNMP. Instead we retrieve HINFO
records from the DNS and use a table of regular expressions to map
HINFO records to icon names.
