The scotty agent was designed to implement site specific MIB
extensions or to build distributed management systems based on the
management by delegation paradigm. It will not replace a standard SNMP
agent. The idea is to run the scotty agent as a native proxy agent or
on its own private port number.

You should be able to start with the CMU or the ISODE implementation.
You might need some patches to get it right on a Solaris box. However,
proxy snmp is not supported in the CMU implementation (if my memory
